Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher through a rewarding contract position. Your expertise in adaptive physical education will help empower students to build confidence, develop motor skills, and enjoy the benefits of physical activity.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current teaching certification in Physical Education, with Adaptive Physical Education endorsement preferred Experience implementing and modifying physical education activities for students with diverse abilities Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to create individualized lesson plans Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting student growth
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement adaptive physical education programs tailored to meet students' individual needs Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach Monitor student progress and adapt activities to encourage participation and achievement Prepare and maintain documentation as required for IEP meetings and student progress reports Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where students of all abilities are motivated to participate and thrive Enjoy the fulfillment that comes from helping students discover new skills and build lifelong healthy habits.
