Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support Substantially Separate Classrooms in a school setting located in Adams, MA. This role focuses on providing comprehensive educational services to students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities within K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade classrooms. Candidates will work directly onsite, collaborating with a dedicated team to tailor instruction and support to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with significant disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with non-verbal communication. Manage classroom needs including toileting assistance and behavioral interventions. Collaborate with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and other support staff. Implement specially designed instruction and applied behavior analysis strategies to enhance student learning. Develop and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Special Education Teacher in substantially separate classroom settings. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis and specially designed instruction. Ability to support students requiring toileting assistance and other physical needs. Comfort working with diverse learners, including non-verbal students and those on the autism spectrum. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
