POSITION SUMMARY
The Education Team Leader is an administrative position working under the supervision of the Principal/Director to coordinate the IEP process, chair IEP team meetings, and support teachers and specialists around IEP implementation. This individual may also have responsibilities such as overseeing MCAS testing, working on curriculum-development projects, and orienting/supporting new employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned)Work with the Program Director at Kevin OGrady School to oversee the IEP process.

Chair IEP team meetings, and collaborate with district team chair people Assist teachers and specialists in developing and implementing IEP goals and objectives. Oversee Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System/Alternate Assessment (MCAS-Alt) within the program and assist teachers with adapting and using the states learning standards to instruct and assess students.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Valid MA DESE Special Education Administrator licensure and/orValid MA DESE Special Educator licensureMasters degree in Special EducationStrong background in Special Education Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with severe disabilities (including those with autism, intellectual impairment, developmental disabilities, medical impairments, and multiple disabilities)Minimum five years teaching experienceAbility to work in a team-centered organization
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 10-month position with some additional days during Extended School Year program.
