Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Fitchburg, MA, working Monday through Friday with K-12 students across a specialized caseload. This role involves supporting students in a sub-separate classroom setting, requiring a strong understanding of behavioral strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) teaching license Experience working with K-12 student populations Proficient in managing behaviors in a sub-separate classroom environment Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including related service providers and families Maintain accurate records and documentation for each student's educational plan Support the social and emotional development of students through evidence-based behavioral interventions
