Teacher of Moderate Disabilities Experience in working with a wide range of disabilities and providing neuro-affirming principles. Collaborate with classroom teachers on curriculum delivery & assessment Adapt learning material for student needs Design and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) Collect, and analyze data to monitor student progress towards goals and inform instructional practices Collaborate with parents and school staff to track students' progress Act as liaison for special education students Engage in ongoing consultations/collaboration with educators and related service providers Create a collaborative and nurturing environment for students to learn and take risks Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and staff. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs. Collaborates well with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment including Universally Designed Learning, and instructional strategies Evaluate student progress which includes progress reports and creating Student Success Team meeting notes when necessary Appropriate DESE licensure is required Other duties assigned by the building administration
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience with Wit and Wisdom, Geodes, & Fundations Training/Certification in Wilson, Orton Gillingham, or other structured literacy programs.
