Position Summary:

The 3rd Grade Classroom Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in a structured and engaging classroom environment. This role includes planning and implementing lessons, monitoring and assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues and families, and fostering a classroom culture that supports both academic achievement and character development.

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain a well-structured, organized classroom environment with clear routines and expectationsImplement designated curricula with fidelity, including Core Knowledge sequence and lesson plansPlan, deliver, and assess daily instruction to meet the needs of all learnersMonitor and document student progress on a regular basisCollaborate with colleagues through weekly grade-level meetings and Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetingsParticipate in all required professional development and ongoing trainingCommunicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom updatesAttend and participate in parent-teacher conferences, Back to School Night, and other school eventsSupport and implement IEPs and 504 plans, including required documentation and classroom accommodationsFulfill assigned duties (morning, lunch/recess, and dismissal)Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and expectationsPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership
