This position will entail responsibilities for day-to-day management of the assigned classes, provision of instruction and supervision of classroom staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing opportunities for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
• Encouraging students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior and achievement, which includes working with support staff when needed
• Collaboration with related service providers.
• Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students' needs
• Employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media
• Writing and implementing student IEPs
• Conducting achievement testing and writing corresponding reports
• Attending IEP meetings
• Tracking progress and quarterly reports in regards to IEP goals and achievement.
• Ongoing parental contact.
