August 24, 2026 (plus 2 mentoring days prior to start date)
Qualifications:
  • MA Department of Education Teacher License
  • certified general education teacher PreK-2, required.
  • Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Severe/Profound certification; required.
  • SEI Endorsement, required.
  • Familiarity with MA Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences & MA Standards for Preschool & Kindergarten, Social & Emotional Learning, and Approaches to Play and Learning.
  • Knowledge or experience with Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS), Second Step, Everyday Math and Project Based Learning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and experience with behavior management plans.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction across all curriculum areas, providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
  • Develop and modify curriculum and curriculum materials for special needs students in inclusion classroom and/or small group pull out groups.
  • Provide a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunities to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.
  • Experience in writing IEP's and functioning as a liaison for students' caseload.
  • Facilitate annual review meetings.
  • Administer and interpret educational evaluations.
  • Supervise teaching assistants in the classroom.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues as a team approach and participate in school events.
