Jul 1, 2026 Job Description Valid Massachusetts licensure in Intensive Special Needs (Severe Disabilities) required; dual certification in Moderate and Intensive Special Needs preferred. Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students with intensive disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental delays, and complex communication needs. Strong background in implementing and monitoring data-driven instruction, including experience with a variety of data collection methods Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), positive behavior supports, and individualized intervention strategies. Familiarity with social-emotional learning frameworks that embed perspective taking, self-regulation, and social awareness within grade-level curriculum and inclusive settings. Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including goal writing, progress reporting, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in assistive and instructional technology, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and adaptive tools. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, related service providers, and general education staff. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain structured, safe, and supportive learning environments, including the use of proactive classroom management and de-escalation strategies. Commitment to inclusive practices and the ability to support students in least restrictive environments (LRE). Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills required. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Committee may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY:
