Travel Special Education Teacher in Pittsfield, MA

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Travel This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support students in substantially separate classrooms within an elementary school setting in Pittsfield, MA. This is a full-time, onsite travel position focused on serving students with significant disabilities in grades K-1 and 3-5.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering specially designed instruction tailored to individual student needs Managing a severe caseload involving students with cognitive and physical disabilities Providing toileting support and assisting with daily living skills as needed Supporting students on the autism spectrum, including some who are non-verbal Collaborating with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who may assist with behavioral supports Desired qualifications or experience: Previous experience working in substantially separate special education classrooms Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and interventions Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong classroom management skills in a specialized setting Comfort and skill in meeting the physical care needs of students
