Aug 31, 2026 Job Description The Donovan School is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education (SPED) Inclusion Teacher to support our K-5 students in an inclusive classroom environment. Using a "Push In" co-teaching model, the SPED Inclusion Teacher will work closely with general education teachers to ensure all students receive equitable, high-quality instruction tailored to their individual needs. This position is integral to our mission of fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with general education teachers through regular co-planning sessions. Provide direct instruction and interventions to diverse learners within the general education classroom. Monitor student progress with data collection and provide continuous feedback to students, families and classroom teachers. Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students. Coordinate and lead IEP meetings involving parents, administrators, counselors, and related service providers. Ensure compliance by maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with special education and school timelines Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records in accordance with legal and school guidelines. Terms per the Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement
