Job Summary:
Edu-Aids is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Reading, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Provide direct instruction in a variety of settings, including one-on-one, small group, and whole class. Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students' unique learning styles. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed. Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP compliance. Participate in professional development and training as required. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
Valid state certificate in Special Education (Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe). Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members. Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
