School-Based Position Overview We are seeking dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teachers to support students in Kindergarten through 12th grade in Salem, OR. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, Special Education Teachers deliver high-quality instruction and support services designed to help students succeed academically, socially, and developmentally. This role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, working closely with general education staff and multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized student programs. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services Implement and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Deliver small-group or individualized instruction and tutorial support Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff Participate in planning meetings and complete documentation in compliance with district and state regulations Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred) Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferred Preferred state teaching certifications include: Standard Elementary Teaching Standard Secondary Teaching Standard Special Teaching Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred Compliance with all professional standards of practice Current CPR certification, if applicable Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray as required) Current health certificate per contract or state regulation Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation Options Local Special Education Teacher:
