Job Description

May Institute Early Interventional Dev Specialist West Springfield, MA Apply Early Intervention Developmental Specialist Req #22558 Support growth. Empower families. Shape bright beginnings. As an Early Intervention Developmental Specialist, you\'ll partner with families of infants and toddlers (birth-3) to support developmental growth during the most critical years of life. Through home visits, community-based services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, you\'ll help children build the skills they need to thrive. What You\'ll Do Deliver family-centered services Provide home and community-based visits using developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed strategies Support children in fully participating in inclusive community settings with typical peers Conduct telehealth sessions as needed Lead IFSP coordination and progress monitoring Partner with families to develop, implement, and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) Coordinate services and supports identified in the IFSP Monitor functional outcomes and complete six-month reviews and required documentation Assis with transition planning at least six months prior to discharge, including referrals and participation in IEP meetings when applicable Collaborate and advocate Serve as a liaison between families, ancillary providers, and school systems Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and team meetings Ensure services and communication are culturally and linguistically responsive Maintain compliance and documentation Complete session notes and required paperwork within established timelines Maintain accurate records for assigned children Follow DPH and organizational standards for documentation, confidentiality, and training What You\'ll Bring Required Bachelor\'s degree in Child Development, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field Minimum of four approved 3-credit courses focused on infants and toddlers At least 300 hours of practicum or work experience with children under age three Preferred Bilingual skills Experience in home-based or community-based early intervention services Knowledge of IFSP development and transition planning Why Join May Institute At May Institute, your work transforms early learning experiences and strengthens families.
