To Be Determined Job Description The Ashburnham Westminster Regional School District is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Special Education Teacher to support students with learning disabilities (reading, writing, math) and/or social-emotional needs. This position includes both small-group specialized instruction and inclusive support within general education classrooms. Our district is committed to building strong programming, providing professional collaboration, and supporting staff in meeting the diverse needs of students. Responsibilities Provide small-group, specialized instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics Special ed liaison for caseload of students receiving special education services Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with Massachusetts state standards and federal regulations and monitor student progress toward goals Chair IEP team meetings, coordinate team input, and ensure compliance and collaborative planning. Support general education teachers with curriculum modifications and accommodations Provide push-in support in general education settings Deliver social skills instruction in both small group and classroom settings Develop and implement behavioral and social-emotional supports Support paraprofessionals in implementing accommodations and interventions Collaborate with staff, families, and related service providers
