Teacher of the Deaf

Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Utilize appropriate communication methods and assistive technologies to enhance student learning Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed Provide support to families and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions

Qualifications:

Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school environment Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and related communication skills preferred Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies for diverse learners Excellent collaboration and communication skills
