Sunday School Teacher

Responsibilities Prepare and deliver dynamic Sunday school lessons tailored to different age groups, incorporating biblical stories, teachings, and activities that promote understanding and engagement Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages children's participation and spiritual curiosity Support children's emotional well-being through active listening, encouragement, and Christian counseling when needed Collaborate with church staff and fellow volunteers to plan special events, holiday programs, and community outreach activities Provide mentorship and guidance to children, helping them navigate personal challenges with compassion and faith-based support Assist in organizing fundraising events or community service projects that benefit the church or local outreach programs Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and any concerns that arise during classes Experience Previous experience working with children in educational, religious, or social work settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a caring attitude are essential Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, and team members clearly and compassionately Knowledge of Christian teachings, counseling techniques related to bereavement support or hospice care is a plus but not mandatory Ability to plan engaging activities or events that align with church values and community needs Demonstrated commitment to mentoring, social work principles, or community service initiatives Join us in this fulfilling role where your dedication can shape lives through faith-based education.
