Full-Time Job Summary The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and referrals prior to services. This role ensures patients understand their coverage and supports a seamless patient experience through accurate and timely insurance verification. Why Join CoreLife Mission-driven healthcare organization transforming patient outcomes Collaborative, team-based environment Growth opportunities within Revenue Cycle operations Direct impact on patient financial transparency and care access Key Responsibilities Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and referrals for all new patients Educate patients and internal staff on coverage and eligibility details Conduct high-volume outbound calls to insurance companies Ensure accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information Document verification details accurately in the system Meet productivity and turnaround time expectations in a fast-paced environment Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve insurance issues Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of experience with insurance verification, benefits, or eligibility Minimum 2 years of customer service experience Strong communication skills (phone and written) High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree Experience with medical billing or accounts receivable (AR) Experience with EPIC and/or NextGen (Professional Billing Module) Healthcare or revenue cycle experience Technical Skills Microsoft Excel proficiency Experience with insurance portals and eligibility tools Data entry accuracy and system navigation Core Competencies Customer Focus Attention to Detail Communication Problem Solving Time Management Team Collaboration Work Environment Fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting Frequent phone communication with insurance providers Requires ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
