Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Join an established elementary school located in Fryeburg, ME, as a full-time Special Education Teacher. This onsite position involves supporting the resource room with a current caseload of 12 students, assisted by two support staff members. The role requires dedication to fostering the educational development of students with special needs within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students in the resource room. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Collaborate with support staff to ensure effective delivery of educational services. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and staff.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for the state of Maine. Experience working in an elementary school special education environment preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Schedule and Location:
Full-time commitment, 37.5 hours per week. Onsite position at a single school location in Fryeburg, ME.
