Overview Join our dedicated team as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children with diverse learning needs. In this vital role, you will develop and implement individualized educational plans, foster inclusive classroom environments, and support children's developmental progress through innovative teaching strategies. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help children with disabilities thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, setting the foundation for lifelong success. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of children with developmental disabilities, including autism and speech delays. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to set personalized goals and track progress effectively. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe, supportive learning environment. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into daily activities. Utilize learning technology and adaptive tools to enhance instructional delivery and support diverse learning styles. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to evaluate developmental milestones and academic achievement. Support early intervention strategies that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional development for preschool-aged children. Skills Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized, respectful environment conducive to learning. Experience in curriculum development tailored for early childhood special education settings. Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behavioral health practices, and behavioral therapy strategies. Familiarity with deaf education principles and working with children who have hearing impairments. Proven ability to work effectively with children with autism, developmental disabilities, and those requiring early intervention services. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external specialists. Proficiency in using learning technology tools to support instruction and assessment. Experience in preschool or daycare settings with a focus on childhood development and childcare best practices. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori or other early childhood education philosophies when appropriate. Understanding of IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and behavior management techniques specific to early learners.
