Job Description
As an Educational Technician II, you will support classroom teachers in delivering instruction and enhancing the learning environment for students. You play a key role in helping students achieve academic, behavioral, social, and emotional goals aligned with the school program.
Compensation
Pay Range:
$22.23 to $31.15 per hour in accordance with the Educational Technicians Association (ETA) Collective Bargaining Agreement, Appendix
A, 2026-2027.
Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for working with students and supporting teachers to achieve individual student goals. Must meet Maine Educational Technician II certification requirements. Coursework in education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities
Student-Centered Support
Work one-to-one and in small groups to support instruction, curriculum, and assessments.
Assist students with academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
Support students with special needs in inclusive learning environments.
Assist students with routines including lunch, snack, transitions, and clean-up.
Supervise students during recess, lunch, field trips, assemblies, emergency drills, and other school activities.
Alert teachers to concerns or relevant information regarding individual students.
Professional Practice & Leadership
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards at all times.
Participate in professional development, in-service training, and staff meetings.
Assist in implementing school-wide programs, expectations, and activities.
Support behavioral programs and instructional expectations in the absence of the teacher.
Teamwork & Collaboration
Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and staff as part of a school team.
Prepare and organize instructional materials in coordination with teachers.
Support substitute teachers by serving as a primary resource for classroom routines and procedures.
Assist principal and office staff with clerical and operational tasks as needed.
Participate in building duties such as bus, recess, and lunch supervision.

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal in accordance with district procedures.
