Aug 26, 2026 Job Description MSAD 60 is looking for a special educator at Noble Intermediate School who will provide special education services for 5th and 6th grade students in the resource room setting. Educators work collaboratively to meet the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities. The special educator provides specialized instruction in reading, math, writing, and executive functioning in the special education and regular education setting. MSAD 60 is committed to educating students in the least restrictive environment using creative and innovative ideas and techniques.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide specially designed instruction to meet IEP goals and services Complete paperwork (Written Notices, IEPs, etc) to meet regulatory requirements. Collaborate with service providers to create individualized schedules for students to ensure all IEP requirements are met. Collaborate with regular education and special education teams to ensure student needs are met. Design lessons to meet academic and functional goals. Collect data on student progress and report out on it quarterly. Advocate for students within the larger academic community.
Qualifications:
Special education teacher certification in the state of Maine Master's in Special Education or a willingness to work towards a Master's degree.
