Special Education Teacher in Detroit, MI ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Detroit, MI Job Details Full-time | Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Engaging lesson design (student motivation techniques) Working with students with special education needs Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful role as a Special Education Teacher in Detroit for the 2026-2027 school year. What You Bring:
Valid Michigan SPED Certification with appropriate Special Education endorsement Experience developing and implementing IEPs Background supporting students with mild to moderate special education needs is preferred Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, colleagues, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment
Role Details:
Deliver engaging, adaptive instruction based on each student's individualized education plan Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to ensure optimal student outcomes Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal and state special education regulations Actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities Partner with families to facilitate successful learning both in and out of the classroom
