$44,106- $77, 687 (Based on years of experience and degree) Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Responsibilities IEP Management:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for a caseload of students, ensuring compliance with Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE).Instruction:
Deliver differentiated instruction in core subjects (Mathematics, ELA) tailored to students' specific goals.Collaboration:
Act as a lead for IEP meetings and work closely with school psychologists, social workers, and parents.Progress Monitoring:
Collect data on student progress and adjust instructional strategies to ensure measurable growth.Classroom Culture:
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured environment using trauma-informed practices and positive behavioral interventions (PBIS).Required Qualifications Certification:
A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement (e.g., LD, ASD, EI, or CI).Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Michigan special education laws.Soft Skills:
