Special Ed Teacher - Redford, Michigan Redford, MI Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Qualifications Crisis intervention Behavioral interventions Student performance assessment strategies CPI Certification Bachelor's degree in special education Working with individuals with disabilities Teaching Certification Master's degree in special education Mid-level Working with high schoolers Master's degree Working with children Bachelor's degree Working with students IEP development Working with students with special education needs Special Education 1 year Classroom Teaching IEP implementation Collaborative teaching Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Redford, MI. This onsite role offers the opportunity to work in either an Early Childhood or High School special education classroom within the district. The teacher will provide tailored instruction and essential support to students with a range of learning needs, fostering an inclusive and effective educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assessing and tracking student progress regularly Collaborating closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families Applying behavior and academic interventions to enhance student learning outcomes Qualifications sought for this role are: Valid Michigan Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or a commitment to obtain and maintain it annually Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred The position is based onsite within the school district location to be determined.
