Duties Support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementing educational activities aligned with developmental milestones and literacy education standards. Engage with children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth, behavior management, and childhood development. Provide care and supervision for toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being during all activities. Assist in classroom management by maintaining a positive environment, encouraging good behavior, and supporting classroom routines. Collaborate with staff on individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Help prepare materials for lessons, set up learning centers, and ensure a clean and organized classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents and team members to share updates on child progress and welfare. Support physical education activities and incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning outcomes. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and literacy education methods. Experience in classroom management, toddler care, special education support, and Montessori approaches is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a floater teacher.
