Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A school in Warren, MI is seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students from kindergarten through 8th grade. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students requiring individualized education plans (IEPs) and actively participate in related meetings to ensure each student's academic progress and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Manage a caseload of approximately 10 students, providing focused instruction and support Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff during IEP meetings and ongoing communication Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and compliance requirements

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with K-8 students in a special education setting Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
