Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate STEM Teacher to join our Summer Academy program, inspiring students through engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics instruction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, develop innovative curricula, and mentor young learners in a dynamic educational environment. The role works with students who may be at or below their current grade level and acts as a support to helping children avoid summer learning loss. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in STEM disciplines, classroom management expertise, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning experience for diverse student populations. Duties Deliver engaging lessons across various STEM subjects tailored to different grade levels and learning styles. Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiments, dissections, and scientific research activities to deepen student understanding of complex concepts Utilize learning technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and support differentiated instruction Assess student progress through pre/post testing, a cumulative final project; provide constructive feedback to support growth Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity Mentor students individually or in small groups to foster academic growth and confidence in STEM subjects Requirements Teaching certificate and/or degree progress in an educational field Proven classroom experience with diverse student populations. Strong knowledge of STEM topics Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues; experience in mentoring or tutoring is highly valued Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports special education needs when applicable Experience working with learning technology platforms and educational software tools for lesson planning and assessment Join us in shaping the next generation of innovators
