Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Position Overview:
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a positive and inclusive educational environment. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct instruction and academic support to students with disabilities Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusive practices Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring data, and compliance documentation Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress Implement classroom management and positive behavior support strategies Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment Participate in professional development and school-based initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required Valid state teaching certification/licensure in Special Education Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional accommodations Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Prior teaching experience preferred
Preferred Skills:
