Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Special Education teaching opportunity is open for a contract position at a school in Coon Rapids, MN, specifically working with Setting 4 students who have the highest behavioral challenges and most severe disabilities. This role involves supporting a caseload of students at the Rivetrail Learning Center, dedicated exclusively to these specialized needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Setting 4 students with severe disabilities. Manage and implement behavior interventions in a highly supportive environment. Collaborate with educational teams, including therapists and support staff, to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs). Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and staff. Ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning atmosphere.Qualifications:
Must hold a Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license in Special Education. Experience working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors in a specialized educational setting. Strong knowledge of individualized behavioral strategies and disability accommodations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to Coon Rapids.Work Hours and Duration:
Contract position from February 9, 2026, through June 5, 2026. 37.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This role requires dedication, patience, and expertise in managing students with severe disabilities. If you possess a valid Minnesota teaching license and experience working in a high-needs special education setting, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. to take on a rewarding Special Education teaching role within a supportive community.
