Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Godly, passionate, and dedicated 5-7 Grade Teacher to inspire and guide middle school students in building a Biblical worldview in order to prepare them for whatever purpose God has for them. In this role, you will create a dynamic learning environment that fosters faith, curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills in core subjects such as math, literacy, science, and social studies, while also nurturing their social-emotional development and a deeper faith in Christ. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives by implementing back to the basics teaching strategies with small classroom sizes. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with our specific curriculum and standards across multiple subjects including math, reading, writing, science, and physical education. Assess student progress through observation, assessments, and project-based evaluations; adjust instruction accordingly. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and Biblical values while creating a safe learning environment. Mentor students individually and in groups, providing academic advising and emotional support to foster confidence and resilience. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials that assist in the natural progression of learning from grade to grade and cluster to cluster. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and behavioral concerns; participate in school events and parent-teacher conferences. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans while ensuring compliance with school policies. Qualifications Bachelor Degree of any kind. A teaching license is not required. Experience working or teaching children in any of the following settings: teacher, Sunday school teacher, homeschool teacher. Confidence in learning core subjects such as math and science. Excellent communication skills for speaking, mentoring, and collaborating with colleagues and parents. Familiarity with learning technology tools and innovative teaching methods to engage diverse learners. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying needs including those requiring special education or additional academic support.
