Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students and make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher in the Minneapolis area. This contract opportunity allows you to bring your expertise to a school committed to providing inclusive, supportive learning experiences for all. You will play a vital role in guiding students through tailored educational plans, fostering both academic and personal growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) Previous classroom experience working with students who have diverse learning needs Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff Ability to create an engaging, structured, and supportive classroom environment Adaptability and creativity in instructional strategies
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans that address students' unique strengths and challenges Conduct assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student achievement Maintain accurate and timely records for IEP meetings, student progress, and compliance requirements Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all students feel valued and motivated to learn Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to enhance your skills This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment where your dedication will support students in reaching their goals.
