Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This partial-day position is designed for a dedicated educator passionate about making a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). For the 2026-2027 academic year, you'll work in a collaborative, nurturing environment, guiding elementary students towards academic and personal growth. This on-site role is scheduled for five days per week, covering approximately 40% of a standard full-time schedule, making it ideal for professionals seeking a flexible commitment while still staying connected to classroom life and student development. Desired Qualifications & Experience Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher in Minnesota (other related certifications considered) Experience working with elementary students and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) Preferably background or endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Proficient in employing various teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to fostering inclusive learning environments Strong communication and organizational skills Key Responsibilities Provide direct instruction and support to small groups or individual students with special needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in coordination with school staff and families Foster positive student behavior, encouraging independence and self-advocacy skills Work closely with classroom teachers and staff to support accommodations and modifications Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing assessment of student progress What Awaits You Experience fulfilling workdays in a supportive elementary school setting near the vibrant Minneapolis area.
