Special Education Teacher | Minneapolis, Minnesota Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time | Contract $25 - $39 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications School experience Teaching Certification Working with students Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a key role supporting K-5 students as a Special Education Teacher, where your expertise will help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. This full-time contract opportunity, spanning the 2026-2027 school year, focuses on delivering high-quality instruction to elementary learners with mild to moderate needs. The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours each week, designed to provide stability for both students and staff.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching certification appropriate for K-5 grades Proven experience working with mild to moderate disabilities in elementary settings Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Enthusiasm for collaborating with families, paraeducators, and general education staff Adaptability, creativity, and a student-centered approach to teaching
Key Responsibilities:
Provide differentiated instruction for K-5 students requiring special education services Create and maintain a supportive, structured classroom environment Develop, review, and update IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines Utilize data to guide instructional decisions and inform progress reporting Foster strong relationships with students and work collaboratively with colleagues Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school community This is an opportunity to create lasting impact by helping each child reach their unique potential in a welcoming, resource-rich school environment.
