Special Ed Teacher | Prior Lake, Minnesota Prior Lake, MN Job Details Full-time | Contract $25 - $39 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Working with individuals with disabilities Classroom experience Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support within a self-contained center-based CID (Cognitively Impaired Disabled) program at a middle school setting in Prior Lake, MN. The assignment runs from April 6th through the end of the school year, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. This role offers a chance to impact the lives of students with significant cognitive impairments through individualized instruction and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students in a center-based CID program. Manage and support a self-contained classroom of middle school students. Collaborate with district supervisors and educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide ongoing behavioral and academic support. Maintain accurate records and documentation according to district and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Special Education (SPED) license is required. Experience working with middle school students is strongly preferred. Strong skills in individualized instruction and classroom management within special education. Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, families, and staff. Commitment to supporting students with cognitive impairments in an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

This role is a contract position providing supervision directly from the district and the opportunity to positively influence students' academic and personal growth during a crucial period of their education.
