Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a positive impact supporting students' growth and learning as a part-time Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This rewarding contract opportunity is based at the elementary level, focusing on a .4 position dedicated to serving young learners in a supportive, collaborative environment. The position runs from September 1, 2026 through June 4, 2027, with on-site responsibilities spread over five days each week for a partial day. Ideal candidates possess experience working with students who have special education needs and, ideally, bring expertise in supporting those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). However, other valid licensures will be considered, offering flexibility for accomplished educators from a range of special education backgrounds.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (other relevant licensures also considered) Prior experience or strong interest in teaching students with ASD is preferred Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet student needs Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families Ability to commit to an on-site, partial-day schedule across five days per week
