Intervention Para at Tokata Learning Center beginning in Fall of 2026. 6.5 hours/day on student contact days. Hours- 8:00 am-3:15 pm.

The Intervention Paraprofessional plays a critical role in this mission by providing targeted academic and behavioral support to students who need additional structure, encouragement, and skill development to stay engaged and make progress toward graduation. Key Responsibilities Student Support & Intervention Provide individualized and small-group academic support in core subject areas Assist students in staying on task, completing assignments, and meeting learning goals Implement targeted interventions for students who are off-track academically or behaviorally Support credit recovery efforts and project-based learning tasks Relationship Building Develop strong, positive relationships with students to foster engagement and trust Serve as a consistent, supportive adult presence throughout the school day Encourage student voice, agency, and self-advocacy Behavioral & Social-Emotional Support Reinforce positive behaviors and support students in developing self-regulation skills Assist in de-escalation and problem-solving when challenges arise Help students reflect on choices and build accountability Collaboration & Communication Work collaboratively with teachers, advisors, and support staff to align interventions Communicate student progress, concerns, and successes with the team Participate in team meetings, progress monitoring, and planning sessions Learning Environment Support Help maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Support implementation of accommodations and modifications for students with IEPs or other needs Assist with supervision during transitions, breaks, and other non-instructional times Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred Experience working with adolescents, preferably in an educational or alternative setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to build relationships with diverse learners Patience, flexibility, and a solutions-oriented mindset Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices Preferred Attributes Experience supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs Familiarity with trauma-informed practices Ability to motivate and engage reluctant learners Strong organizational and time-management skills Willingness to be adaptable in a dynamic, non-traditional school environment Why Join Tokata Learning Center? Compensation Range:
$21.34- $27.00 per hour, based on experience. A competitive benefit package is also available and includes the following
