Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students near Blue Springs, MO, for the upcoming school year and beyond. This opportunity spans a variety of Special Education environments, both at elementary (self-contained, essential skills/low functioning) and middle/high school (resource, co-teaching) levels. Multiple positions are available, and the district is seeking passionate educators ready to make a meaningful impact.
Qualifications & Experience:
Hold an active Missouri Special Education teaching license (or pending MO licensure with full credentials from another state) Previous experience working with students in special education settings Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet a range of student needs Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
