As a Reading Specialist with Special School District (SSD), you will help students develop the literacy skills needed to access learning and make meaningful academic progress. Through assessment, individualized instruction, and targeted intervention, you will support students with diverse learning needs while helping identify and implement strategies that strengthen reading achievement. Working closely with teachers, administrators, counselors, families, and other specialists, you will be an important member of a collaborative team focused on removing barriers to learning and helping students build confidence as readers. Your expertise will help shape individualized reading programs, guide instructional decisions, and ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
Reading Specialists work during school hours, 7:10 AM to 2:15 PM. We are currently seeking a specialist to serve students in Northview School, 1520 Derhake Road, Florissant, MO.
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Missouri Special Reading K-12 certification required
Salary $49,000 to $83,250 /based on education and experience
