The Forsyth R-III School District is currently accepting applications for the position of elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a self-contained classroom, serving students with diverse abilities, including those with significant needs and those requiring social/emotional support. The ideal candidate must hold the appropriate certification, demonstrate proficiency in the IEP writing process, regularly monitor student progress in alignment with IEP goals, assess the instructional and behavioral needs of students, plan and oversee meaningful assignments for paraprofessionals, and foster collaborative relationships with IEP team members and parents. The Forsyth R-III School District operates on a four-day school week, primarily Tuesday through Friday.
