Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school community near Liberty, MO. This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for educators who are adept at supporting students with diverse needs and are eager to make a difference. With immediate openings across various grade levels, your expertise will contribute meaningfully to the success and growth of K-12 students.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
Active Missouri Special Education Teacher certification required Previous involvement with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Ability to serve students in either self-contained or resource settings Strong work ethic with a commitment to ongoing professional growth Positive, solution-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for student development
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with student IEPs Deliver instruction in both resource and self-contained classrooms based on caseload needs Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with families Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and administrators to foster an inclusive environment Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate a wide range of learning abilities Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and collaboration sessions as needed
