Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher in Lockwood, MO, working within the Barton Dade Jasper Special Education Cooperative. This vibrant role offers the opportunity to inspire and support young children with developmental disabilities, including autism and speech delays, in a nurturing classroom environment. You will develop individualized education plans (IEPs), implement engaging curricula, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to foster growth and learning. Duties Design and deliver dynamic lesson plans tailored to early childhood development needs, incorporating curriculum development and literacy education strategies. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children with diverse needs. Implement speech therapy techniques and behavioral health interventions to support communication skills and social-emotional development. Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate individualized learning experiences for children with disabilities. Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support children's developmental progress through integrated services such as early intervention programs. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing protocols to monitor progress and inform instruction. Maintain detailed records of each child's IEP goals, progress notes, and behavioral data, ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations. Experience Prior classroom management experience in early childhood or special education settings is essential. Demonstrated expertise working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or in toddler care environments. Experience developing and implementing curriculum tailored for preschool or early childhood education. Familiarity with speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy methods, and behavior management strategies is highly desirable. Familiarity with learning technology platforms, assessment tools, and IEP processes to support individualized instruction. Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to promote child welfare and educational success. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and community partners. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
