As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide tailored instruction and create meaningful learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility for certification Experience working with children in self-contained classroom settings preferred Deep commitment to individualized education and inclusive practices Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Organizational skills to manage documentation and adapt lessons Passion for fostering growth, independence, and confidence in all learnersPrimary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student's strengths and needs Deliver engaging instruction and utilize differentiated strategies to maximize learning Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to support student progress Create a positive, structured classroom atmosphere to promote social, emotional, and behavioral skills Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Provide direct support with daily routines, life skills, and academic content as needed You'll have an opportunity to build strong connections with students and make a meaningful contribution within a dedicated educational community.
