Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity focused on making a meaningful impact in students' educational journeys. This position, starting in the 2026-2027 academic year, invites a Special Education Teacher to provide essential support at the middle school resource level. As you guide and empower students at a dynamic elementary school campus, you'll collaborate with committed educators and join a welcoming, growth-oriented community.
Desired qualifications and experience:
State certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Proven experience delivering instruction and support in a resource classroom setting Effective collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families Adaptability to different instructional methods based on student needs Strong classroom management abilities Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment Key responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals Deliver targeted instruction in resource or small group settings for middle school learners Track and report on student progress, modifying approaches as needed Partner with general education teachers to support classroom integration and accommodations Communicate with parents/guardians to promote student growth and success Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams This position offers a chance to shape academic outcomes, nurture social skills, and help young learners reach their full potential.
