Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing or Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This contract assignment offers flexibility, with both part-time options and the potential to combine Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Visually Impaired teaching responsibilities into a full-time schedule. As an educator experienced in these specialized areas, you'll play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth. The setting provides a collaborative environment where your expertise is valued and where the needs of your students are at the heart of every day.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certification and experience as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing, or a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Deep knowledge of instructional strategies for students with hearing or vision impairments Current teaching credentials/licensure appropriate for the specialty area(s) Ability to create and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Strong collaboration skills with general educators, school staff, families, and related services A genuine passion for empowering students of varying ability levels
