This position ensures students receive appropriate educational services aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while supporting academic, behavioral, social, and emotional growth in an inclusive learning environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines. Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skill areas. Adapt curriculum, assignments, and assessments to meet individual student needs. Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and accommodations. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and data. Conduct progress monitoring and communicate student growth with families and staff. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Implement behavior intervention plans and classroom management strategies. Use evidence-based instructional practices and assistive technology when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of student records and information. Support students' social-emotional development and self-advocacy skills. Ensure compliance with IDEA and school policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field. Valid teaching license/certification in Exceptional Children/Special Education. Experience working with middle grades students preferred. Knowledge of IEP development in ECATS Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Physical Requirements Ability to supervise students in classroom and school settings. Ability to lift instructional materials and assist students as needed. Frequent standing, walking, and computer use.
