Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students along the scenic NC Coast. Five new contract positions are now available for Special Education Teachers to provide both resource and inclusion services. These opportunities allow you to make a real difference in the lives of students while experiencing the charm of the coastal region. As a valued educator in this setting, you'll collaborate with general education teachers and fellow special educators to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring every student receives the tailored support they need. Flexibility to work with diverse learning needs and a creative approach to engaging students are essential. Out-of-state special education licenses are welcomed, making this an excellent option for experienced professionals seeking a change of scenery.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching license (NC licensure or out-of-state equivalent accepted) Experience with resource and/or inclusion classroom models Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively as part of an educational team Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Duties:
