As a travel Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), you'll work closely with two elementary students in grades 3 and 4, tailoring your expertise to meet their individual needs. Each assignment enriches your professional resume and deepens your impact as an educator.
Qualifications:
Current license in Visual Impairment—open to out-of-state certifications Experience with elementary students preferred Ability to adapt instruction for a student with more significant visual impairments Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance
Responsibilities:
Provide 3 hours/week of direct services to students (1 with severe visual impairments, 1 requiring VI support despite wearing glasses) Dedicate 1 hour/week to IEP development and related paperwork Implement adaptive instructional strategies tailored to each student Collaborate with other educators and support staff to promote student success
