Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 academic year. Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification in Special Education (state credentials or eligibility for certification required) Previous experience teaching or supporting special education students, preferably at the middle school level Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues Proficiency in implementing IEPs, tracking progress, and using evidence-based instructional strategies Flexibility, positivity, and problem-solving abilities in dynamic classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
Teach and support middle school students in a resource setting, adapting instruction to meet individual needs Develop, deliver, and monitor IEPs for assigned students Collaborate with classroom educators, support staff, and families to ensure student success Employ differentiated instruction and classroom management techniques Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication regarding student progress
