Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful Special Education Teacher role for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year at an elementary setting focused on resource support. This contract position is a rewarding opportunity to foster growth and inclusivity for students who require individualized educational plans, within a collaborative support network. You'll play a pivotal role in providing resource instructional services, adapting curriculum for diverse learners, and working closely with faculty and families. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) required Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with special needs Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment Passion for fostering student growth and success
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver resource room instruction, adapting lessons to meet individual student needs Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals Engage with families to support and advocate for each learner Maintain organized, up-to-date records and comply with special education requirements
